Kathy lives in rural Stephenson County Illinois with her husband of 20+ years and teen son, teen daughter and their pet assortment of horses, chickens, dogs etc. After a career in both domestic and international supply chain and logistics she left the 60+ hour work weeks and travel schedules to pursue the dream of making their 5 acre hobby farm a self sustaining working garden and slow down the pace of their family with home cooked dinners and packed lunches with fresh baked goodies. Then she went back....to the career in supply chain! Can she do it all?

Kathy is a self proclaimed news, magazine, and book junkie. She shares her take on current events and the daily trials of trying to find balance keeping the family, hobby farm and career duties going in her daily blog and tweets.
A good friend first called the family's 100+ year old hobby farm Camp Kathy when invited for one of the end of work week dinners and campfires in which the kids made sure he was kept with a steady flow of refreshments. He stated that everyone's kids should be sent to "Camp Kathy" for training. The name stuck. From then on everyone was referring to the weekend get togethers as going to Camp Kathy. Now all of you can come!
